Mercedes-Benz G280 – Full Restoration | Norway
Mercedes-Benz G-Class From Norway
Where It Came From
Â
This Mercedes-Benz G280 made the journey to our workshop from Norway – and it arrived showing every year of its life. The front bumper was eaten through with rust, corrosion had spread across the grille area and front end, and the overall condition of the vehicle made one thing immediately clear: this would not be a repair job. It would be a full restoration.
Â
The Strip-Down
Â
Work began the only way it can on a project like this – by taking everything apart. The doors came off, the interior was stripped completely bare, the front end was dismantled down to the shell. Every component was assessed, and nothing was assumed to be serviceable until proven otherwise. The body was reduced to its bare structure, giving the team full access to every surface, joint, and problem area beneath.
Â
The Restoration
Â
With the car fully stripped, the real work began. Rust was addressed throughout, bodywork was repaired and refinished, and every system was gone through methodically. The goal from the start was a complete, uncompromising restoration – not a cosmetic refresh, but a rebuild that would give this G280 a genuinely renewed life.
Â
The Result
Â
The finished vehicle speaks for itself. Clean, straight bodywork finished in its original colour, stainless steel side steps, period-correct wheels, and every detail brought back to proper condition. A classic Mercedes-Benz G-Class, fully restored and ready for the road – exactly as it should be.
